Expectations are pretty high as not only as another peculiar Rajni movie but also bunch of excellent artiste associated with it. Now , Petta , directed by Rajinikanth’s die hard fan Karthik Subbaraj , is now making his fans more excited as we have experienced Rajinikanth’s Vintage looks in all released posters and the teaser released for his birthday. Its cast has Vijay Sethupathi, an extraordinary actor in the modern Indian film industry. Also Nawazuddin Siddique, another sensation of our age. These two men are like Thor and Captain America for our Iron man i.e Thalaiva. Its crew has Karthik Subbaraj, I don’t know much about him but I would respect him based on his innovative movies with new dimension. Another member of this crew Anirudh who has unique nature i.e being best with both BGM and songs has taken himself to another level. I can see he did lot of study for all 11 tracks. sure he induced relevance to each track based on screenplay, let’s wait to see this once movie released. I could see this movie might set in Kolkata, I assumed this as there is Kaali theme from its musical. Recent audio release event and teaser somewhat reminded everyone of Rajni craze of 90s imitating Baasha craze, Annamalai swag or Padayappa image. At one time I felt as if is Rajni mania taking over again? as he just delivered blockbuster 2.0 which was equal hit across India. 2.0 succes across India and Hindi audience heartthrob Nawazuddin might elevate Petta’s image to become another Pan India movie without limiting itself to south India. This is how it’s projevtion/expectation in my opinion.
